Cobb County, GA – Deadly home fire killed a 62-year-old woman in her Cobb County home Tuesday.

The Cobb County Fire Department responded to a call about 7:30 a.m. about a house on fire in Austell.

The fire tore through the condo, killing an old woman and her pet dog. Another woman was in the house, she was also rescued.

According to the details, the fire started in the upstairs room and within minutes it engulfed the whole house.

The firefighters told the old woman died in the hospital. She was breathing when they rescued her.

The cause of fire is under investigation.
